ALONE TOGETHER
After a fight, a couple sit in their apartment in silence as they battle their own anxiety to speak to each other again.
Alone Together is a concept I pitched and directed for my senior thesis film. I worked with an amazing team of five peers to produce the film was completed in Spring 2021.

FX Development
Emotions are messy, fluid, and loud. By using graphically driven abstract designs, we explore the unique and personal emotions each character is struggling with. I developed the final look for the film through the abstract animation because we wanted to make sure we could transition the characters from their human forms to their abstract seamlessly.

Animation
Not only was the film very FX heavy, but also very character heavy. We wanted to show the internal thoughts and turmoil the characters were experiencing in every drawing. Due to there being no lip sync, we relied on body language to communicate their emotions. All final animation done in Toon Boom Harmony.
